Believe it or not, the island of Crete known for its award-winning beaches has a few lakes. One of them just 15 min drive from the city center of Chania in the area of Agia. And that is actually the name of the lake. Penelope and I took a short day trip and enjoyed nature together with the lakes ducks and geese. Western Crete and the town of Chania is best known as a Summer destination. With its amazing beaches, enjoyable nightlife, food for the entire family and leisure and safe environment. But during Winter, life doesn’t stop for us locals living here throughout the entire year.
