Chania Crete family photographer (The Pedersen’s from Norway)

families

Family photography sessions in Chania, Crete are always fun for me. Especially when young kids are involved.

Although the kids bring up the challenge factor due to their natural spontaneity.

I have to be extra sharp not only to catch the right instance of a moment, but better yet, foresee it coming.

Being a rookie dad myself chasing my little girl around all day helps too 🙂

The Pedersen’s from Norway contacted my asking to be photographed somewhere with local nature and also on the beach. A very nice combination.

I suggested the well managed Botanical Gardens in Chania for the first part, then the beach in front of their hotel at Agia Marina, Chania.

They trusted me and it paid off.

“Baby Blue” is back on Crete
Last year a couple from Ekaterinburg, Russia came to Crete for vacation a decided to have a family photo shoot with me. With them was 5 month old, Aliona. The most adorable little girl I have ever seen. Vivid and bright like the sunny Summer days of the island. Not to mention here immense big blue eyes. That is why I nicknamed the photo shoot “Baby Blue”. This year Konstantin and Natalie came to Crete again and wanted another family photo shoot. Little Aliona growing up now, could walk, run and mumble here first words!!!! “Baby Blue” is back!!!!! Check out their photo shoot from last year here. A few words from Alionas dad, Konstan ...

Family photographer in Chania Crete, photo session of Soley-Jakob and family from Iceland
Up until a few hours of this photo shoot in the Old Town of Chania, I wasn’t sure if it was going to happen. Due to the weather changing every other day I thought that the family wanted bright sun and crystal blue skies. But Jakob and Soley live in Iceland and the cloudy weather didn’t bother them at all. A rare case for Crete in the Summer, but a possibility none the less. The family, with their distinct and relaxed presence, inspired me to use the days' characteristics to match their style. During our one-hour family photo session, we quickly got to know each other and have some fun in the proses. I really can’t wait to repea ...

Our little Penelope
There come times in life when you just gotta break the rules. For years now I try not to mix my family with work. Recently though I have been experiencing new heights of picture taking due to my newborn little girl Penelope. Because of her I have changed the way I view life and have become even more sensitive to my subjects.   What I wanted to share with everyone is the joy of newborn photo sessions via my own baby. In Greece it isn’t as popular as in the States for example, but I have hope that people will accept me into their homes before their child turn 40 days old. Not an easy obstacle to tackle, but doable.  I am so hap ...
