A model family photo session in the old town of Chania Crete, Greece

It’s one thing to have a mother that was Miss Holland in 2003, the father currently an actor and entrepreneur, and then another thing altogether to have two of the most adorable little angels as daughters.

So what do you do? You become models as a family.

Easier said than done. But in the case of Tessa, Daniel and their daughters it was like working with Holywood stars. To be honest I haven’t been stopped so often by bystanders wanting to say how gorgeous they looked and wanting to snap a picture.

Family photographer in Chania Crete, photo session of Soley-Jakob and family from Iceland
Up until a few hours of this photo shoot in the Old Town of Chania, I wasn’t sure if it was going to happen. Due to the weather changing every other day I thought that the family wanted bright sun and crystal blue skies. But Jakob and Soley live in Iceland and the cloudy weather didn’t bother them at all. A rare case for Crete in the Summer, but a possibility none the less. The family, with their distinct and relaxed presence, inspired me to use the days' characteristics to match their style. During our one-hour family photo session, we quickly got to know each other and have some fun in the proses. I really can’t wait to repea ...

When people travel from around the world and decide to visit Crete they love to combine the scenery with the gift of a family photo shoot. Such was the case of the Grann’s from Norway. The family of 8 with now two little members chose to celebrate their mothers 60th birthday within the Fortezza Castle of Rethymno Crete. Six children and now the two grandchildren walked around with me in the morning heat of August, all together with a sense of explorers. I melted and they loved it. In their own words: The pictur ...

Our little Penelope
There come times in life when you just gotta break the rules. For years now I try not to mix my family with work. Recently though I have been experiencing new heights of picture taking due to my newborn little girl Penelope. Because of her I have changed the way I view life and have become even more sensitive to my subjects.   What I wanted to share with everyone is the joy of newborn photo sessions via my own baby. In Greece it isn’t as popular as in the States for example, but I have hope that people will accept me into their homes before their child turn 40 days old. Not an easy obstacle to tackle, but doable.  I am so hap ...
