Fall-Winter family photo session around a monastery on Crete, Greece

The island of Crete is most visited during the Summer for its amazing beaches scenic countryside and pleasant lifestyle.

Yet the island has many hidden gems that are worth seeing during the Winter months when temperatures rarely go below 10 degrees Celsius.

Such was the location I chose to photograph the family temporarily living in Greece for the States.

Our little Penelope
There come times in life when you just gotta break the rules. For years now I try not to mix my family with work. Recently though I have been experiencing new heights of picture taking due to my newborn little girl Penelope. Because of her I have changed the way I view life and have become even more sensitive to my subjects.   What I wanted to share with everyone is the joy of newborn photo sessions via my own baby. Luxury hotel swimsuit fashion photo shoot in Chania Crete, Greece
With Winter now here, shooting a swimsuit feature isn’t an easy task. The temperature even on the island of Crete has dropped some. So when tasked to shoot Ioanna for Rise Above Fear I decided to take the shoot indoors. Ambassadors Residence Hotel in the Venetian harbor was just perfect for the purpose. Ioanna, a 400m track and field athlete shined in the luxurious atmosphere of the hotel.
