Finding some inspiration & new hope for 2018 at the Botanical park of Chania Crete

My journal

Just as the New Year has entered our lives one still lingerers with thoughts of the year that pasted.

For some 2017 was the best yet and for others just a bitter distant memory.

Either way, I personally want to wish 2018 to be a healthy strong and prosperous year.

 

The other day my wife, daughter, some dear friends and myself visited Chanias Botanical Park.

Nestled in the foothills of Omalos, this place is ideal for some local food and for a walk amongst Crete’s flora, fauna and other plants. Not mention many other specimens from around the world.

Popular in the Summer on the way to the Samaria Gorge, visiting the Botanical Park is ideal for the entire family. And very photogenic.

Anyway, happy new year.

Yet another hard task was tackled the other day with the results still in the making. A while bach I came to an agreement with long time client from Denmark Lotte Herstal, owner of Divine Villas in Chania Crete to shoot some short clips for the 2017 promotion of the villas. A holiday photo walk around Chania Crete.
Walking around the town of Chania near the end of the year one gets a chance to live some of the traditions here in Greece. First thing you will notice and feel is that Christmas isn’t as big of a deal as it is in other parts of the world. Here in Greece Easter is more celebrated and way more festive. Yes, Crete even has a few lakes
Believe it or not, the island of Crete known for its award-winning beaches has a few lakes. One of them just 15 min drive from the city center of Chania in the area of Agia. And that is actually the name of the lake. Penelope and I took a short day trip and enjoyed nature together with the lakes ducks and geese. When on the island perhaps lake Agia should be on your radar of visits.
