Local festival with a photo expo at Zymvragou Chania Crete, Greece

My journal

A few months back I was asked to participate in a photo expo by donating a framed picture. Organized by Mr. Archontakis Ioannis the expo took part last night August 10th 2016.

The location of Zymvragou, of the municipality of Platanias was magical. And old neoclassical building that used to be the village school has be restored and turned into a photo and cinema museum.

And best of all on the same evening the locals were hosting a local festival with food and live music.

A fine way to spend the evening with family on the island of Crete.

Winter walk around Chania with some unexpected surprises.
Western Crete and the town of Chania is best known as a Summer destination. With its amazing beaches, enjoyable nightlife, food for the entire family and leisure and safe environment. Yes, Santorini has another side to it.
After visiting Santorini many times you are lucky to discover the local aspects of the island. One of them being the small town of Pyrgos. This is usually where I love to stay when I go with my family. This year after having lunch in the town square of Pyrgos at Kantouni restaurant we booked or stay on the beach of Perivolos. Staying on the cliffs of Santorinis Caldera in the middle of August is completely insane. Prices are through the roof and the crowds make it somewhat unpleasant.
