Local festival with a photo expo at Zymvragou Chania Crete, Greece

My journal

A few months back I was asked to participate in a photo expo by donating a framed picture. Organized by Mr. Archontakis Ioannis the expo took part last night August 10th 2016.

The location of Zymvragou, of the municipality of Platanias was magical. And old neoclassical building that used to be the village school has be restored and turned into a photo and cinema museum.

And best of all on the same evening the locals were hosting a local festival with food and live music.

A fine way to spend the evening with family on the island of Crete.

A holiday photo walk around Chania Crete.
Walking around the town of Chania near the end of the year one gets a chance to live some of the traditions here in Greece. First thing you will notice and feel is that Christmas isn’t as big of a deal as it is in other parts of the world. Here in Greece Easter is more celebrated and way more festive. Taking Penelope for the first time to the Acropolis in Athens Greece
Our daughter has fallen asleep countless times with stories from Greek mythology. One of her favorites is how Athens got its name from the goddess Athena. Walking around the Acropolis then up to the sacred hill to the Parthenon was very special for even at the age of seven.
